Energy efficient hot water for Papakāinga development

TAEC are very proud to be supplying and installing our energy efficient hot water system into all the homes in the Papakāinga development for Te Awhina marae in Motueka. This is the largest papakāinga project Te Puni Kōkiri (Ministry for Maori Development) has supported. The development consists of 20 stand-alone 3 and 4 bedroom homes as well as marae buildings. The project is designed to have minimum impact on the environment and hopes to become one of the first zero carbon marae in NZ.

Each of the homes has an Ecotop cylinder system so occupants can enjoy reliable and very energy efficient hot water. The 2 and 3-bedroom units have an Ecotop 250L system and the 4 bedroom units have an Ecotop 300L system.
