Commercial water heating

The Energie solar thermodynamic system is very cost-effective to run, reliable and environmentally responsible. It is ideal for businesses looking to de-carbonise their processes and minimise their environmental impact, while making massive savings. The system offers huge savings against the cost of conventional oil, gas, or electric boilers, because it uses free energy form the sun and surrounding atmosphere.

We design and size the system to suit your requirements and handle the installation process.

Solar Block

Solar Block

A versatile system with a broad range of applications, e.g. Pre-heating water for industrial purposes, heating swimming pools or apartment block hot water systems.

Eco XL

Eco XL

Suitable for apartment blocks, motels, schools, gyms or wherever large volumes of hot water are required.

Solar Block Ultra

Solar Block Ultra

The Solar Block Ultra is more suitable for colder climates.

"We engaged TAEC to design, supply and install a solar energy hot water solution for Stats NZ and MFE offices at 8 Willis St, Wellington. The system had to cater for up to 1200 government tenants, supplying hot water to toilets, kitchens and end-of-trip facilities, with an 8000L storage capacity.

We were very happy with TAEC's collaborative approach in providing this system and it is performing as designed. I certainly recommend that universities, hospitals, hotels and large government institutions consider this type of system for supplying their hot water needs, reducing their costs, and reducing their carbon emissions"

Case Study

Rongotea Community pool is the first in NZ to be heated by a solar thermodynamic system

Rongotea is a forward-looking farming community in the heart of the Manawatu. The Rongotea community are excited to be using the first solar thermodynamic heated public swimming pool in New Zealand.

Like many rural areas in New Zealand, the Rongotea school and it's community swimming pool are the hub of the community. The pool plays an important role in the public life of the district.

The Alternative Energy Company supplied and installed the system which consists of a Solar Block and heat exchanger with 28 solar thermodynamic panels. The panels were mounted on an existing 30° pitch structure, which faces due north. The Solar Block and heat exchanger are housed in a plant room near the pool. The solar thermodynamic system replaced many meters of black polythene pipe. The solar thermodynamic system maintains the pool at 26°, which is the recommended temperature for pools used for events and competitions.

This energy efficient technology means the community can enjoy an extended swimming season and running costs are minimised.
